Extra! Extra! Reggie’s Weekly Note & Chip Tip

Good Day Chippers; Just a note for my hold service people. I will be stopping the service for a month starting about the 3rd week of May thru the 3 week of June. More info, just email me. Todays cheap chips will be the last one for a while. Hope everyone is enjoying the Harvest Stories. Please know, with the increased price in gas, I am making a delivery to the post office only 2 times a week. It is 20 miles round trip from my house to the post office. Reggie

Regular Line-up

5 Sets and 5 Single chips every day, that I post.
1 Nevada Featured Chip, 2 California Featured Chips
3 Pages of California Chips with a Cheap Chips ever now then when I can find enough strays to put them together.
And on every Saturday another “SPOTLIGHTED SPECIAL FEATURE CHIP(S)”

Years ago while I was doing “My Page-A-Day” I would publish one of these “Chipper Tips”. I am going to try to include one each Saturday, up date it if I feel it needs it. Hopefully, this will still help a few of us remember to do the right thing when the subject matter is in question and folks if I am wrong PLMK, sincerely…Reggie

CHIP TIPS FOR CHIP COLLECTORS

THOUGHTS ON TRADING


I AM A DAILY READER, A DAILY POSTER & SUPPORTER OF THE CHIPBOARD. I HAVE SEEN ALL SORTS OF APPROACHES TO THE ART OF TRADING CHIPS. HOWEVER, THAT BEING SAID; HERE IS MY OBSERVATION ON WHY PEOPLE ARE NOT AND DO NOT DO MUCH TRADING:
• TRADING REQUIRES MORE THAN AN AVERAGE AMOUNT OF INITIATIVE. AND PLENTY OF FLEXIBILITY WITH YOUR PRICING.
• TRADING REQUIRES A LARGE SELECTION OF ITEMS TO MAKE A TRADE, AND THAT MEANS MORE THAN A 100 COMMONS.
• WHEN YOU APPROACH ANOTHER CHIPPER FOR A TRADE, YOU MUST BE KNOWLEDGEABLE OF WHAT HIS INTERESTS ARE. IT WILL DO YOU NO GOOD TO ASK ANOTHER TRADER TO TRADE FOR ITEMS THEY DO NOT EVEN COLLECT.
• REMEMBER THE USPS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT MAKES OUT ON SMALL TIME TRADES SO IT IS ADVISEABLE TO MAKE AT LEAST A 5-6 CHIP TRADE WHEN MAKING A TRADE.
• TRADING POLICIES OF EACH INDIVIDUAL IS OFTEN QUITE DIFFERENT. I HAVE A POLICY FOR TRADING, AND WILL GLADLY SHARE WITH ALL THAT ASKS.
• CHIP SHOWS ARE ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO FIND TRADERS AND A TRADE SESSION. • ROUND ROBINS ARE ANOTHER WAY OF TRADING, THOUGH IT DOES NOT APPEAL TO ME.
• I HAVE BEEN TRADING REGULARLY FOR OVER FIFTEEN YEARS. I HAVE HAD THOUSANDS OF TRADES OVER THESE FIFTEEN YEARS.

* I will trade Postcards, CA, MT or NV chips for MT chips.

*Please know that the single biggest reason some people do not like to trade with any one individual, by far; is because one of them over values his chips. In other words his chips are much more valuable than yours. Just sayin'...reg

TRADE SESSIONS AT THE 2022 LAS VEGAS CONVENTION

FOLKS, I WILL BE TRADING LIBERALLY AT THE TRADE SHOW, PLEASE LOOK ME UP IF YOU ARE GOING TO ATTEND ANY TRADE SESSIONS WHILE AT THE SHOW. AND BY ALL MEANS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING SPECIFIC OR SPECIAL AND YOU SEE IT IN MY CHIPBOARD DISPLAYS, EMAIL ME TO BRING IT TO THE TRADE SESSION, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND SOMETHING OF YOURS TO MAKE THE TRADE..
