you can ask the cashier for some chips and if he/she has time (the window gets busy now and then), he'll look through his drawer and racks and hand a few over. Be careful, everyone, of the Maisson Jassauds chips! The inlays are printed on weird paper that darkens under light, especially sunlight, and the chips will eventually turn black. I once walked around the oil field behind the casino (of course there's an oil field behind, this is Bakersfield!) - and picked up a couple of those black-eyed chips that had been under sunlight for a long tine. The oil field has been fenced off in recent years so you cannot stroll where I have walked. (That last phrase sounds very Biblical.)
