My example just now arrived and, from what I can see/feel; there are no indications of it even being on a table and I grade it as being in its "original state of preservation" without even any of the original pigmentation being scuffed and no feel of bevel nicks with fingernail test. Any engraving fill is bound to lift; considering the age and, unless contact friction with something other than MOP can explain some of the dislodged fill and, even below that, there is no sign of friction which, final reasoning is that the engraving is not shallow.
For a piece that is not uncommon; the price was right.
The inventory had to have been in deep storage; maybe just the better condition example... and, as usually, sometimes an additional denomination pops up as with the "500 Francs" ovale CM I found in the dealer's inventory in Italia... Sometimes there are more...
