I use the Collector's Assistant software and generate the report to a PDF file. From there it's a simple matter of going through the PDF.
I was also toying with using a program like Ninox, its a database program that works cross platform in Mac/iPad, creating a new database, and entering my chips and then looking them up as needed. At the end of the day I already had all my chips in the Collector's Assistant DB and it was a matter of updating rather than re-entering them into a new database. I know of a few chippers who do the same. I go a step further and create some bookmarks in my PDF file but it only shaves a few seconds off the searching through the PDF as it allows me to jump either to a specific letter or a specific casino (I have 300 pages in the PDF).
