Newt Crumley Jr. opened the Ranchinn motel on Dec 18th, 1946 and eventually grew into a
68 room hotel. Building materials were rationed and had to be flown in. Governor Pittman and
Tex Ritter attended the grand opening. Crumley introduced big name entertainment and the
idea spread around the state. I remember getting the BC Wills chips on the 21 games in the
later 70s. The place has been gone for years.
