On 10 December I mailed a Christmas GIFT to Jo in Belgium; the tracking shows all went well from FL to DE to BE... then something UNUSUAL happened...
...happened after I asked Jo in a thread below if he received the package.
Jo's response was not yet and later in the thread Jo shows us a letter he received stating "very clearly" that Jo made a purchase outside of the European Union and paid for it and that there are not any documents outlined pertaining to value... of which I claimed "0" value because it was not a purchase as the letter states there was. I assumed the sender of the letter assumed there was a purchase. Below is a copy of that letter... now, a month later, the GIFT I sent Jo is still being HELD in Belgian customs.
Jo tried his best to find out what was going on as stated in the thread below in a post titled "...two hours on the phone..." without success.
After 30+ days of nothing happening (in tracking) I have decided to request that the folks who are holding the package simply return it to me which I assumed would be the normal thing to do since the value of the package is "0" and they are unable to come up with a number to charge Jo, as they clearly state in the letter but, no; they are still holding it...
I can try Plan "A" and see if the folks who are holding the package for over 30-days cooperate and if not, move on to Plan "C" by skipping Plan "B" which might help but, by doing nothing like a "bump sitting on a log" ain't gonna do nothing...
In case the letter file does not open, it can clearly be seen in the long thread down the index
