Re: Already dismissed.
In Response To: Re: Yes. ()

I know exactly how much in monetary terms (£35000) were sent to the studio and had already narrowed the field down to any relevant sources, as mentioned already and have never assumed that there wasn't some logic used in the ones sent as stated below. I was of the opinion that there would have been but I seem to be in the minority on that.
Eon's archivist could shed no light on anything concerning these plaques and they didn't actually have any in their archives as they would have been all sent back to the casino. If they know nothing then I very much doubted that the film industry would know any more than they do. Film props weren't as important then especially ones that didn't belong to them.
As to the breakdown of ones sent being worked out, again, doubtful unless a detailed list exists and if it did, surely it would reside in Eon's archives or at Les A which is not the case according to the people that I've spoken to.
Les A couldn't have cared less when asked about them so they were a waste of time.
BetG wouldn't tell me anything so I asked if they would confirm what we thought instead which they were kind enough to do.
No photos or additional information has surfaced in 60 years and there have been some people that have looked and asked the relevant people and they gave up long ago although they also thought that they didn't actually still exist (if at all) and nobody knew that much about them until we found out all we could.
As to your understanding that I assumed that there wasn't much thought behind it, that was never implied. I actually thought there would have been some method (or logic) behind the ones loaned (as mentioned earlier when I said about the low numbers) but everybody else that has had a opinion about it thought that a casino wouldn't keep their plaques in numerical order in the cash desk which makes more sense than if they did as most don't. As to what you are hearing, again, no I didn't ask you what you stated, I just asked where you thought where else (apart from the sources already stated) I could go but hey, it's never that simple is it?
I have ideas about the breakdown but I prefer not to speculate as it is not based on anything but my gut feeling.
Considering that nobody even knew that the £1000s and the £1 jeton were on the table until we researched and looked around, I think we have added as much about these as we could, most of which is described here.
I think I've covered all the bases so I'm done. Maybe Eon or Les A are not telling me the truth but I don't like to contact people who obviously don't care hence it will remain unknown until sometime in the future, perhaps.
Enjoy your breakfast.
