Perfect sets were offered to a handful of people that had bought from me in the past and also to all previous buyers of the Le Cercle jetons on ebay at a reduced price due to them now being worth much less they bought them for originally, one of my many "pay it on" gestures.
They were then offered on here and PCF and I had no takers although some of the £1 chips sold and 2 previous buyers bought some of the other chips but the plaques didn't sell at all as nobody was interested.
Then I offered them on a James Bond site and many now have the pleasure of owning a set. I kept the prices low due to the amount I had and because nobody knew which were actually seen or used onscreen. It seems that it doesn't matter as it is the only way to get hold of any. They all got an absolute bargain as the ones sold at auction houses over the last year or so have sold for "silly money" and the prices have sky rocketed. I managed to keep the prices reasonable so that most fans could afford them but due to the auctions mentioned, they are now more expensive plus I have less of them now too. I'd hoped that they would go up in value so that no buyer would be unhappy and yes, I could have listed the odd set here and there and made much more money but that wouldn't have been right and it was never about that. Ok, so it's probably cost me a small fortune but it just shows they were a good investment which is great for the buyers just not so good for me.
IF a list of the ones sent to the film studio ever turns up, the value of the ones that were actually sent would go through the roof but I doubt it will ever surface. They all have the same chance of being in the films (Dr No and A hard day's night) and people know that as I've always stated it on all sales along with graphic descriptions and photos showing all (if any) faults.
It's a shame that there aren't many collectors that like the older UK stuff as they really are beautiful and it's a pity that I still have most of the chips/jetons here which means that they are not out there and being enjoyed by others.
The ebay auctions you showed are from one of the few resellers and aren't a good example but at least I managed to get them to change their description which made it sound like they were definitely seen in Dr No, which nobody knows so I found it misleading.
Many of them are in a bad way due to deterioration over the years that they were kept in a barn but in the last 2 years I've had them they haven't gotten any worse.
