I also did a Westpac tour in the Navy (‘67-‘69) aboard the
carrier USS Hancock CVA-19 in the Medical dept. I watched
Lady Jessie (F-8 named for Jessie Beck) land many times.
I never saw her miss the arresting cable. Jessie sent the
squadron many a care package including playing cards.
