I see in TCR that the “George’s” version is the older, original HS chip with no sticker, and the newer one has a sticker. Is the chip underneath the sticker a HS gold “George’s” version? Or did they make new chips with a blank face and put stickers on them?

The reason this came up was, I was swapping out my stickered chip into a nicer airtite when the sticker started to come off, the top sticking to the airtite. I was a bit distressed but the sticker wasn’t tearing so I kept pulling the chip away until the sticker was off. To my surprise, under the sticker was… ANOTHER STICKER!

And then, upon closer examination, the sticker that pulled away turned out to be TWO stickers! So, I have a chip that had (at least) 3 stickers applied. Might be more under the bottom one. Or maybe the pair that peeled off is really 24 of them.

The mysteries (for me anyway) are:

1. Is there a hot stamp under it all?
2. What’s the book value for genuine Valley Inn Casino stickers? And who has some Z+ value chips to trade me for them?
