Back in the 1940's and 1950's era of Miami Beach ... there was The Dunes, The Sands, The San Souci, The Desert Inn, The Castaways, The Algiers, The Sahara, The Moulin Rouge .. The Tangiers ... and a few other Hotels & Motels with the names used in building Las Vegas .... even the Capri in Havana was taken from the Capri Hotel in Miami Beach along with the San Souci ... same logo's etc. and probably the same owners as well ... here are some old Miami Beach Hotel photos ...
