Whilst the first one is a Tee Tail it is NOT a Boeing 717. The Fueslage is too wide to be a 717. The 717 was built from 1998 and I think the Chip is older! It is NOT a DC9 either.
The first one looks like a VC10 due to the Wing Flap configuration. It could also be a Trident.
