Saw this today: some lucky guy picked up an entire rack of oversized red chips and some green ones at the Agua Caliente Palm Springs Cage and walked over to a Blackjack table. So . . . I followed him to see him playing them, the dealer put them into the rack but then immediately tossed them down the drop box. Went back to the Cage - they wouldn't sell any, said I had to go to the Players Club desk where the clerk would check the points on my player's card. Welllll . . . the guy at the Players Club first said I had to pick up the chips from the table, then checked my points and said . . . all my points are associated with slot play. The oversized beauties are only available to tables games players with many accrued points.

So - possible new A.C Palm Springs round (not octagonal!) chips out there, but only available to card-playin' high-rollin' dudes.
