Has it been 100% confirmed that these chips saw table action?

I have seen dozens of examples of these over the years and I have never seen one with any degree of table wear.

Unlike the $1 red B-O-B chips which I have seen table worn examples.

Could the $5 B-O-B chips have just been giftshop souvenir items?
