There is another service, Curb, run by the LV Taxis that is a ride hailing. It doesn't have the surge pricing. They have an app similar to Lyft but might yield better results.

Also remember if you are coming from the airport that it is a flat zoned pricing for the taxis so don't worry if they try to long haul you.
