There wasn't much to do at the Corn Palace aside from the palace itself, if I remember, but it was fun. I also would recommend the Jewel Cave. It seems to me that it's close to Mount Rushmore. I had a fantastic time there, but I was much younger and did the spelunking tour. I can't really say if the standard tourist areas are great, but others I know have enjoyed it.
