Great fun, and one of the reasons maybe why as a Brit a lot of casino slots seem a bit boring. These low value machines are available all over the country but as noted mainly in pubs or seafront arcades. There are a few elsewhere but not many. The features are quite simple once you get the hang of them.
They do get updated quite often and the slot glass can be found on occasion quite cheaply if you are lucky - I once bid on an auction with a 99p start for a dozen slot glasses (some of which were actually the whole front and so had the light fittings and bulbs still attached behind) from Great Yarmouth (a seaside resort about 40 miles away) and won the auction with no other bids (my maximum bid was much higher than 99p!). I picked them up one morning and the seller not only was quite happy to clear them out of his house but even insisted on giving me my 1p change from a £1
I still have them and keep meaning to mount them, ideally the ones with the lights still attached if I can power them up.
