For more than 3 chips, however, I will simply ship in two #10 envelopes, because even when using two Dogfaces, it is still less costly than the $4 padded envelope with tracking (seems to be mandatory out this way). Exception: if it's an old or fragile chip - sometimes better just to use the padded envelope plus tracking. Note, of course, that it is still a bit of a risk, the Non-Machineable Envelope may easily go astray and neither the seller nor the buyer has much recourse.
Reminds me, I am almost out of butterfly stamps. When I go inside the post office, I just yell out, "Dogface!" and the clerks know what I mean. Everyone else standing in line - is horrified by the insult. Amusing thought: what if they put a Gypsy Moth on the stamps but you cannot say the word "Gypsy" any longer, so what would you call it?
