Though I have no opinion, I do not find anything actually naming the gambling operation (which is so well documented as being on the ranch) which; California gambling history as far back as the early-1850's shows us very few establishments had a name... especially on their chips and, other than a monogram on that chip, we assumed it was that of the person who ran the operation in a hotel, pavilion or whatever which was Old-World tradition with chips having only a monogram of the operator... and up to today he have no Idea what hundreds of monograms stand for on those chips though, in this case... you have a chip which has an exact name on it of person who owned and operated the ranch.
