Boy 'o boy there's been so many new chips coming out of Central City and Black Hawk it's almost like the old days when I started collecting back in 1996!! These new chips remind me of those detailed early Chipcos! For those of you who don't know, I am a painting contractor based in Central City. I moved to Central City in 1996 and worked the casinos for several years including Bronco Billy's, Bullwhackers and the last version of the Toll Gate. Gave that up in 2002 and started a painting business that has been going strong since. Century Casino has been a customer of mine since they opened so these chips, 15 years later, bring back memories for me from back then. Over the past 8 years my company has repainted the entire 4 sides of a small city block that is Century Casino. The pics are of us working the corner of the ironically named "Miller Block" built in 1874. The 2nd pic you will see me taking a pic of the job from vantage point you could only get once in a lifetime. 3rd-ly is us priming, me with my knee up waiting to move the basket.
