The thought is that with the vaccine you can still get it but may suffer less severe symptoms. The main thing is to avoid small crowded areas with poor ventilation. I got my shot as soon as possible but with my age and having asthma I am still trying to be careful although I admit that I was pretty lax in using the mask at the convention.
