Doug, Great chip and a great story. I retired from the USAF at Edwards AFB, so I'm also quite familiar with the Pancho Barnes story. She was a real character. Back in the day, her place was " Party Central " for the flyboy's at the base. When I was at Edwards every year we had a big party out at her old site. Pancho Barnes Days. I don't know if they are still doing it. Back in the day, I knew Chuck Yeager pretty well. He was a consultant on some of the programs I was involved with. He told me a few great stories about Pancho. She was also a great Aviator she could fly with the best of them. If you have an extra of this chip, I'm interested.
