El Dorado or Eldorado means "the golden one" in Spanish... Eldorado was a mythical city or empire where the streets
were said to be paved with gold - and was much pursued by Spanish and English explorers in the 16th & 17th centuries...
the Spanish conquistador Coronado led an expedition through the New Mexico territory in 1540 in search of Eldorado and
the legendary Seven Cities of Gold.
