Doubtful if it's a mold design and probably just part of the product mold... unless there are others with different center disk embossing such a Bud Jones CIC, BG or any other company.

Robert and I saw an interesting embossed rim which was a paddle wheel steamboat, but it was part of a boxed board game set.
