Did you look in the Recycle Bin? Regular file searches in windows do not normally look in the trash, but if you deleted The files but haven’t emptied the recycle bin, they may still be on your system.
Another place to look is in any cloud accounts you may have. Check iCloud, dropbox, box, onedrive, for example.
As a last resort (and I have not done this in years, so things may have changed), but find a good file restore program that will look for previously deleted files on your hard drive. Windows doesn’t (didn’t?) actually delete files. It just changes the first character so that it does not appear in listings, and lets the system know that the sectors/disk space is available to be overwritten. Until it is overwritten, the file remains intact.
