Good to listen to your well, thought out reasoning, again; it's been over twenty years since we used to talk over the phone...

The one problem that I have with this whole story is that I cannot imagine any AC house even considering introducing any chip on to a game that would have even one component of its overall manufacture different than what a manufacturer would normally refer to as their product line... let alone pulling gaming into the picture who would be concerned to not be allowing or setting an example as to what is tolerable in opening the door for counterfeiters.

I can not imagine both the house and gaming coming to any agreement to introduce a chip with painted on inserts in Atlantic City; in Poker Palace, yes, or some dive in Paris where they used red paint on chips... But, Atlantic City....? Sounds out of the ordany to me.

Whatever the reason was to manufacture the chips was, I have no idea... and, in reading all of the 2011 thread where Russ is brought up in submitting an example to the club auction and what followed thereafter.... I have the same question that David had in that thread.

Even in my wildest imagination of some type of Sting going on between the casino and gaming and some fast-paced action in trying to nab someone; I don't see it happening.

I'm not even interested in why they were made though, I can not see any reason (in-house emergency) why any Atlantic City casino, who is so well equipped for any emergency would do this...
