If you look closely at the silver dollars stacked on the layout in the photo of the lady dice dealer you’ll see they
are banded together in stacks of twenty. In those days, if you bet $20 or more in silver the dealer simply gave
you a banded stack, a time saving move. Also, since some of the dollars were worn the stacks didn’t always match
up. An old gambler told me this back in the 70s.
