Sorry, I should clarify further.
The chip, N0968 is one of the first chips ever listed in the Chip Rack.
While the first published copy of the book was 1993, it had been many years in the making, and all the handwritten records I inherited when we bought the book from KMW show this chip was recorded 10 years+ before that date.
As Borland didn't acquire the Bud Jones dies until 1991, the chip had to have been made at Bud Jones. Just a coincidence the hotstamp is perfectly aligned one side and only a bit out on the reverse.
