I believe you will find a thread where there was an attempt to remove some very high-value chips, resin-embedded onto a table top from Sharkey's. If I recall correctly, the idea was to cutout a section with a chip and to carefully shave/grind-off the the resin. Basically, this worked, however, the chip(s) still looked like they were coated, or otherwise not like original state.
