About 8 years ago Hemmings Motor News and the Volo Auto Museum begin a lengthy process to determine the real Bonnie and Clyde death car. Volo owned a car they hoped was the real deal. It wasn't, the research determained that the Primm car was the actual death car. I have the research somewhere in my car stuff, but the Cliff notes version is that the engine numbers matched the car that a lady in Topeka, KS owned before Clyde stole the car. She sued the government to get the car back after the shooting and was successful. It was a very detailed investigation. If anyone cares I have all of the info including the engine number which was stamped in four places on a V8 model Ford.
