It was mentioned (by me) on the board ages ago so not newly found. Sorry, not about you for once, amazingly.
In fact, all 3 lots that appeared on Ebay were shown on here and details all shared at the time I knew about them. Pity it was after I spent way too much/through the nose on a couple of £5s just before the hoard "arrived" with the only consolation being that they were in better condition than most. I even won 100+ of the £5s later but the seller reneged so.............Mainly £1s and £5s but some £25s appeared too (also mentioned on the board, by me).
There are multiple ways that stuff escaped so there is no theory really, is there?
Punters, their families, Security, waitresses, receptionists, car jockeys, gaming staff, training officers, managers etc etc. Hey, they've even been found bricked up behind walls. And then there's dealers that may have "walked off" with some and then there's the people who were meant to incinerate/crush/destroy with light fingers and didn't do the job totally. Oh and reps/salesmen for the companies (Geoff Lindsay springs to mind) should be mentioned too.
And then there's the owners or their families so.................
Le Cercle (most of the cash desk) - owner's son's family.
Aspinalls MOP/ plaques etc- Family.
Playboy (plaques) - Victor Lownes.
KSC - Jo has many of the lower denomination jetons and I know a chap with lots of the £5/£10 jetons.
Corner House/Pink Parrot - family of owner.
Manchester Playboy - weren't destroyed and kept by the person meant to destroy from what information I could get out of one of the sellers.
There's also been the odd "illegal/early" casino "hoard" too.
There are more but can't think of them at the moment.
Not that it matters as long as they manage to find the right homes eventually.
