Nevada Governor announced that it is a goal to return to 100% capacity on June 1st. To achieve that goal, the COVID #'s must result in lower cases, lower deaths, more vaccinations, social distancing and masks.
As part of that goal, COVID restrictions and policy development and enforcement, will move from the Governor's Office on 1 May, to the individual County Health Departments, with one major exception...
On May 1st, COVID restrictions, policy development and enforcement, for all licensed casino operations in Nevada, will move to the Nevada Gaming Control Board and NOT the individual Counties in which individual casinos are located.
While the Counties and Gaming Control will model COVID protections in accordance with the Governor's goal, they will also be using CDC guidance.
IMHO, I believe that Nevada can get to the 100% occupancy goal for June 1st, which will still see social distancing (reduced to 3 feet) and the wearing of masks, all of which is positive news for the Convention!
