Now I understand why JH used the term 'American Roulette' on the catalogue page I show in my post, even though the wheel and layout had one zero and the configuration of numbers on both wheel and layout are what is generally known as 'French Roulette' by many.
I think the safest and most accurate term I will use from now forward in describing both wheels and layouts is 'single zero' and 'double zero' Roulette unless; as in the case with an illustration such as the JH catalogue page, where the layout is seen with 'American-Style' chips and not jetons.
