Easiest way is burn the CD as MP3s a data disk, not a music disk, which should play on any computer. Burning as a CD file gets more complicated. Some car players will play MP3s I think most didn't. I installed one that did.
Audacity, free: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
Audio editor software, but also anything you play on your computer can be recorded from the sound card. Then trim, and if you want divide tracks and save as an MP3 or a series of MP3s.
Making a CD requires the right software to burn that and keep in mind, 80 minutes at best, CDs are limited, but contain uncompressed audio. While MP3 is a file format. I have one that's 12 hours of Stevie Ray Vaughn. However MP3 is a compressed format so the sound will not be as good as CDs. I don't care about HiFi I just want to listen.
