Many casinos where I live have used the COVID excuse for shutting down their poker rooms.
Pechanga, Pala, Harrahs, Pauma, Barona, etc. which is CAUBS since all their other table games with plexiglass dividers are running just fine.
The cold-blooded truth is the table games that are open are much more profitable for the casinos, than poker is. That is why the pit games remain open.
Pechanga is a perfect example. They are the largest casino in California, and they had the best poker room south of L.A., but their huge poker room has been closed for over a year, with no re-opening in site, despite the fact the rest of their casino has been open the entire time during COVID..
