I am the person who figured the ID out and presented it to Gene Trimble. ...the chip was sent to a guy named George "Frenchy" Perry in 1939...( If my memory serves me correctly). The info was from an old inquiry to TR King..( I believe from Hank Boss). Even though I had never met Hank...I have a lot of his notes. Included are his TR King ID requests.
Then I just happened to stubble upon the George Perry name in Fullers index and put the name, chip together with the Club. I have the paper around here somewhere.
Also...I think the State line Custer was...Calvin Custer..not Miles E. And from memory...the Calvin Custer was an alias or fake name for another guy. ( Don't quote me though)?
