Perhaps in France it was named in French and in Italy, in Italian.

I think there would be more Italian postal cards from the property than French and, even though it was in Italy, the French name may have been to attract those who were already in the South to venture over to the Italian casino... I wonder if the French franc was the casino currency at the time, as it was in Monaco.
