The Crystal Bar was probably one of the oldest bars in Virginia City. I had a few beers in
there and remember talking to Bill Marks. The main attraction was the the large clock on the
right side of the back bar. It was called the Mystery Clock and you could spin the hands and
they would always return to the correct time! It broke early on and the Marks family could
never find anyone to fix it. I guess the manufacturer was long gone. The place is a now a
visitor center.
