The Pan Plucker pencils are designed to assist the little old ladies that played the game, in reaching to the center-of-the-table located shoe. It gave them the additional reach to spin the shoe and the erasers allowed dragging the next card from the shoe.

There is a second version of the Sahara plucker and the Plaza also had their own plucker.
