I used to go in the El Dorado quite a bit when I lived in Henderson in the early 70s.
They had a strip show in the back of the casino that was blocked from view by a heavy
red velvet curtain. Sam Boyd was the impetus behind it but others in the organization
were against it (his son I think). If I remember correctly, Sam ended his input in the
casino operation and the show was history. That may the reason for all the girls in their
early advertising.
