Hi guys ... as you know I have not been on the chip board for a while ... I had several emails and phone calls telling me to read the message board on the club and also on the chipboard ... I am totally disgusted with the lack of civility amongst club members friends, associates wanna be friends, imposters of friends ... and you wonder why the club is shrinking ?
I understand we have a little over 1000 members currently and that number is rapidly dwindling ... I predict by 2026 we might have 500 members people are being turned off by the hostility ... the hatred... the backstabbing ... the lack of cooperation ... there’s no mutual ground ... there’s no more decorum ... people are becoming power hungry ego maniacs... this is supposed to be a hobby ... this is not the DNC or the RNC, I think Covid and hunkering down Has caused many people in our hobby to have a meltdown ... don’t let 10 disgruntled people in our club ruin it for everyone else ... members just want to collect chips & Casino memorabilia, talk about the past adventures and the future of having fun .... there are 990 other members that don’t want to get involved in a political fight... they want to go to the convention and smile and have fun ... and not have to walk away from someone’s table or go down a different isle because they hate that person .... it’s easy to be a Monday morning
Quarterback and second guess somebody’s intentions and work ethics ... I for one am glad I am not giving any more money time or effort to the national club I’m retired and I don’t need the stress, the criticism the backstabbing anymore ... very few people appreciated all of the work I have done over the 25 years in promoting our hobby ...I’m going to have fun in spite of the angry 10 ladies and men who are angry.... I have never been one to be led to the slaughter house I’ve always saw myself as a leader not a follower I am so disappointed that I see so many names on a petition advertisement against one individual that has given so much time energy and himself to our hobby be careful what you wish for you just may get it .... and that’s my rant.... and am I bias? You’re damn right I am ....I have friends and I stand by them .... have a good night be safe and try to smile “life is too short” ... Just ask some of our members who died this year!
