Hey Doug, thank you very much for your explanation. I think the picture of the relationship is getting clearer with the details, much better than just the line of 'an educational project of CCA'.
If I could suggest, maybe someone take the time to write out a few 'official' paragraphs on this and post it to the MOGH web site? That way when people ask again, they can just be referred to the web page?
On the subject of 'conflicts of interest' - some people claim having people serve as both on the committee of the MOGH and as an officer of the CCA BOD is an inherent 'conflict of interest' because the same person can recommend a MOGH item, then vote on it as a member of the BOD. I think the only conflict would be if some sort of financial benefit being taken advantage of, which doesn't appear to be happening.
I think what could be an issue is that the club is putting too much focus and energy on MOGH activities and not in other activities. If people feel that is so, they need state that, not call it a "conflict of interest."
