I once was rear-ended while on my Suzuki

It's actually kind of tough to get rear-ended by a car while stopped on a Motorcycle, but that very thing happened to me in Sherman Oaks some years ago when I stopped at a red light. Trouble is, the stupid luxury car's bumper was stuck atop my rear tire so I could not move forward. I kept telling the terrified driver to back her car up and release the bike. She was actually making some good Three Stooges "nyyahhh ahhh ahhh" sounds. I finally yelled at her that I was not hurt, just pinned upright by her car, and she backed off. Amazingly the bike's rear tire was not pierced and I was able to go on my merry way home. Her explanation (when she could find her normal voice) was: "OF COURSE I saw you stopped in front of me, I stopped, I really did, but then my foot slipped off the brake pedal!" Butter-feet.

I AM STILL SUFFERING MENTAL ANGUISH FROM THAT ONE. grin

But the VERY BEST rear-ender I was ever involved in - was when a man in a BMW crashed into the back of my pickup truck on Santa Monica Boulevard in West L.A. He was very apologetic and gave me his name - a Doctor G. (not telling his last name, he is still in practice). Turns out he was one of the chiropractors that the attorney I then worked for would regularly refer car-accident victims to. So I said, "Oh, I know you, I work for Attorney N--" And he turned white as a ghost, and said, "N-nn-nooo!" I assured him I was not injured (true) and he later came into the law office to again personally apologize to me. Abd, yes, his insurance paid for the dents.
