I remember patronizing the place starting in 1967, a couple years after it became the Pioneer.
It looked like nothing much changed, only the name. You entered the casino thru a small doorway
from the bar that was used mainly as a school for Pioneer Club break-ins on Fremont street.
There was a dime crap game with black hot stamp chips, a penny roulette game and probably
three or four 21s. Occasionally you would see Vegas Vickie there running cocktails and learning
roulette. The place was popular with local Fremont St. employees.
