I showed the white E/H W chip to my employer Burt Jacobson today. He lives on Donalda Drive, just a few doors down from 3069, supposedly the home of "C. Schimmer." He has no knowledge of this person or any card games on his block. Burt did say that, some years back, the California Country Club owned much of the surrounding land which was a golf course. Later they sold the greens and houses in the Cheviot Hills area were built. The California Country Club was owned by various Hollywood celebrities - among them Ernie Kovacs and Humphrey Bogart. The E / H connection???
But I can't figure out that "W." After selling the fairway, the Club was reduced to a smaller plot of land which offered tennis courts.

A long story of the club, which underwent various name changes. Note that it was raided in 1944 (as the Rolling Hills Country Club) for offering stud poker games. Were E/H W chips in play that night? No idea!
