It's based in Europe but has a US version and has buyers/sellers from all over the world. They actually have more collectibles than eBay and more collectible categories. They started with stamps and coins then expanded to ALL collectibles, and I do mean ALL. It operates much like eBay did years ago but much simpler. They do not charge for stores and they do not charge for any listings until something is sold. They offer both auction and fixed priced sales. Selling fees without what they call a Club+ membership are $0.26 per item plus 6.5% of your monthly total sales with lower rates as sales increase above $1.199.99 per month. If you purchase a GOLD Club+ membership you get extra features/benefits and lower rates for approx. $60 for the YEAR. In return they only charge $0.16 per item but the same percentage rates on sales. So on lower priced items it can make a big difference. Percentage rates on sales does not include shipping and there are no sales taxes currently and no VAT taxes if you sell below their threshold.
I mostly sell slot cards, room keys and gift cards so I can't say much about other categories but I do get much more sales via Delcampe then I do from eBay. On eBay I do not have a storefront (they're storefront fees are way to high for lower priced items) so I'm limited to 200 listings per month. Of those I probably sell 5-10 cards a month on eBay while on Delcampe I'm selling 50-100 cards a week. eBay typically only has 500-900 slot card listings at any given time while Delcampe has over 15,000 cards listed.
The main problem with Delcampe is that there is no central casino collectible category like they have for other collectibles. I've been asking them for years to create an area specifically for casino items but nothing has ever been done. I would assume if more sellers/buyers were asking then they might respond. For now, slot cards, room keys and gift cards are easy enough to find, listed separately under Modern Collectible Cards while chips, tokens and other things are pretty much burred in with other categories elsewhere pn the system. Some casino collectible items I have yet to find a suitable category to even list.
Currently I'm basically using my eBay sales as marketing for my Delcampe listings and I have every single thing I have available always listed as fixed priced listings that automatically repeat and stay listed on Delcampe. When a new buyer buys via eBay I include a note directing them to my Delcampe listings and they usually wind up being repeat buyers there or direct. That's one of the nice things with Delcampe, I can still sell or trade direct and delete items as needed with no repercussions. I used to have my own website where I listed all my available doubles but it was a pain to maintain and update plus hard for people to find things. My Delcampe store makes it much easier for people to find things using Delcampe's search and I have everything listed individually so people can get just what they need. I currently have over 13,000 slot cards currently listed and over 23,000 items total. I've sold over 2,300 cards this past year via Delcampe compared to a few hundred on eBay.
Another nice feature with Delcampe is that I can create a custom search for anyone looking for something specific. I can then email them a link to the search results and they can use that link indefinitly to check on items they're looking for any time they wish. So it gives them an easy way to keep an eye out for items of interest. If they sign up as Delcampe users they can even create their own email alerts for all sorts of things.
