I was driving in Europe a few years ago and noticed something that we could really use in America. Their stop light poles have the 3 lights also very low on the pole - like 3' off the ground. That way if you are under the top of the light you can easily see what color the light is and when it changes.

I also always thought a good idea would be to have a movie theater that served mixed drinks (maybe food?) and had tables instead of just chairs.
