Peiyan ‘fish3098’ Sun tells PokerNews he won’t go to King’s Casino due to the COVID-19 pandemic
The final table of the GGPoker 2020 World Series of Poker Main Event is already down to eight players.
The scheduled nine-handed final table at King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, will play out with at least one player missing from the field. As reported by PokerNews, China-based player Peiyan ‘fish3098’ Sun won’t make the trip to play among the final nine.
Sun advanced to the final table on the GGPoker side of the 2020 WSOP Main Event with 2,185,676 chips. That stack represents just under 11 big blinds, as the tournament paused with the blinds at 100,000/200,000/20,000.
Per the rules of this year’s unprecedented Main Event, Sun gets paid as the ninth-place finisher. He’ll earn $75,360 for his Main Event final table appearance.
