I won’t go into all the detail but I ended up writing a letter to the president of FedEx to straighten out a situation. First, apparently there are different divisions within FedEx and not only don’t they talk to each other, they use different computer systems so my local office was absolutely useless. Because of the letter, I got a call from a manager asking what he/they could do. At my request, they ended up delivering to my house instead of my office. Prior to my letter and that call, I had been told several times by their customer (lack of) support that only the shipper could make such a change.
