Last trip to the post office I asked the lead cage guy why the mail has been delayed so much. (It took a letter 8 days to get from Nashville to my house - 20 minutes away!). He said the problem is Fedex and UPS. He said there is so much that Amazon is selling that they dump a lot over to the post office to deliver which can't keep up. Here is where I have the problem. If they have so much business that they can't keep up then why are they losing money and cutting jobs and equipment? Another thought - if they could deliver a small flat rate box 5 or so years ago for $2.70 does it really cost them $7.20 today?
